Uefa had issued the punishment after deciding Milan had breached a Financial Fair Play requirement to break even after spending £200m on transfers. The French Football Federation (FFF) president, Noel Le Graet, has insisted they never considered replacing Didier Deschamps with Zinedine Zidane. A 38-year old arrested suspect, Mr. Walter Ogwu, has expressed satisfaction having to go back to prison after a court in Lagos ordered him to be remanded in custody. He had pleaded guilty before Isolo Magistrates court for stealing and was expected to be jailed before the prosecutor; Mr. Oje Uagbale, asked the court for a short adjournment to enable him present the facts before he will be sentenced. The excited Delta State-born Ogwu said he was used to the prison condition and had gone to prison several times for stealing before the last arrest. He frankly explained why he preferred to stay in prison for now; he wants to have some rest and know if God will also change him to become a normal person in the society. Fayose has cried out that his life is under threat as he makes allegations that he has been placed on surveillance. fEkiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Wednesday raised the alarm over aerial surveillance of the Government House, Ado-Ekiti by a police helicopter. Fayose said the police chopper has constituted danger to his personal safety, his family, workers and visitors to the Government House. He expressed dismay that aerial surveillance of his official residence and office has continued unabated even after the July 14 governorship election in the state. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed that it had ordered banks to refund N65billion to Nigerians. The refund covered wrongful deductions and charges from customers’ deposits and other transactions in the last six years. Acting Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Isaac Okorafor, confirmed this on Wednesday at a fair with the theme: ‘Promoting Financial Stability and Economic Development’ for stakeholders in Asaba, Delta State. “We have recovered and returned to customers over N65bn out of complaints by people over acts of treatment on customers, wrong charges, wrong deductions and others since 2012/2013 when we started,” he said. The official, however, reiterated that the hawking of denominations of the naira was an offence punishable under the CBN Act of 2005. He warned banks involved, particularly its staff members, to desist from the practice or face sanctions. The Federal Government will send a plane to repatriate the 200 defrauded Nigerian citizens presently stranded in Russia. Nigerian ambassador to Russia Steve Ugbah, who made this known while addressing a news conference yesterday, said: “My foreign minister and I spoke yesterday. “The foreign minister spoke to President Muhammadu Buhari. He approved that these Nigerians [would] be evacuated back to Nigeria. “So, the Federal Government of Nigeria is sending a plane very soon to evacuate these Nigerians back home.
